WHEN TO GOWhen you choose a destination in order to enjoy your deserved vacations, you will surely start to imagine landscapes and travel the distances that separate them. Upon arriving at that destination, you will feel as if you were "wrapped" in a dream, and when you find yourself near the lakes, the perfumed forests or the magic glaciers, you will surely feel as if you were walking along the twists and turns of fantasy. This is Patagonia, the tourist image of Argentina. It is richness and variety, and also, it has something of a legend, although it does not need any legend. It is absolute reality. Every traveler should bear in mind that in the southern hemisphere the seasons are opposite to those in the north. The high season in Argentina elapses in the months of January and February (summer vacations) and July (winter vacations). In these periods there is a great deal of local tourism and prices in general are higher. Summer (mid-December, January, February and part of March), with its mild temperatures and long days, is the most favorable season in Patagonia, both Andean and Atlantic. Winter (July and August) is the most convenient season to practice ski in the various winter resorts Argentina has to offer.
