We can add that if you venture to visit El Calafate, you will enthusiastically confirm this. El Calafate is the doorway to the Majestic National Park of the Glaciers, a Natural Heritage of Humanity. Here you will find the Perito Moreno Glacier, the "eighth wonder of the world", that will overawe the traveler with its landscapes of cordillera forests, and act as a perfect backdrop to dream excursions. The National Park of the Glaciers covers a surface of approximately 600,000 hectares. From this enormous ice field 47 glaciers spring, among them: Marconi, Viedma, Moyano, Upsala, Agassiz, Bolado, Onelli, Peineta, Spegazzini, Mayo, Ameghino, Moreno and Frías, all flowing towards the Atlantic basin. Make your enquiries and reservations well in advance. Remember that many other people like yourself may have thought of traveling to Patagonia and El Calafate, and may have made their decision before you do.
