VILLA LLAO LLAO
Twenty-four kilometers from San Carlos de Bariloche, there is a splendid group of bungalows by the shore of Lake Moreno. This is a beautiful village that was created in the 90s by the Llao Llao Hotel.
The city has a small but booming commercial area, a harbor, an important hotel offer, and a spectacular natural environment that matches Patagonian splendor. It also has a beautiful chapel.
Saint Edward's Chapel stands on the top of a hill, enjoying an excellent panoramic view of the hotel and most of the village. Inside the building, you can admire the stained glass windows by artist Marcos Jerman and a valuable painting by Raúl Soldi.
Llao Llao Hotel & Resort, the raison d'être of the village, was opened in 1938. As it is located on a rise between lakes Moreno and Nahuel Huapi, it offers an exceptional view. It was reopened in 1993. It has 164 rooms plus luxurious suites, a tearoom with a winter garden, a heated swimming pool, and a golf course with 9 holes.
When tourists arrive at the hotel parking lot, they are greeted by a panoramic view of Lake Moreno and the cottages in the village. They can also see snowcapped Mt Tronador, between López and Capilla hills.
