Puerto Madryn Adventure Travel & Tours... The traveler used to experiencing new sensations and thrills in each destination cannot afford to miss practicing sand-boarding (sand-surfing) in the Puerto Madryn area. This is an offshoot from snowboarding that acquires more fans daily. Its cultists get together every summer for slalom and freestyle contests. As though specially designed for adventure seekers, Madryn and Puerto Pirámides offer virgin dunes, huge hills of white sand with just the right slopes for this novel sport. The boards required for the real challenge of coasting down these Patagonian sandy slopes can be hired at a reasonable price in local stores. It is useful to remember that wind intensity in the area is over 15 kilometers an hour; so, if you are an experienced pilot, you will easily be able to land at the same spot you took off from. Come and take a flying leap into the dizzying excitement of sand-boarding!
